Psalm 84:3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young - a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

I'm so excited to share this "Toot" with all of my Mommy readers. Do you make "girl time" for yourself?! I've always thought it to be important, but as I grow older I realize just how much a woman needs her friends and a little fun apart from the husband and kids. I'm excited to share an excerpt from my "ladies night." There was good food, great conversation and a sprinkle of DANCING!! This will make you smile and I hope you'll get with your girlfriends and kick up your feet!
If you're new here, check the side bar for the rules to Toot Your Horn Tuesday. I, for one, don't always follow them!
I have spent less and less time on my blog over the last months, but I'm still on the computer PLENTY! It's not that I don't have anything to write about! There is never a dull moment in our household of 6 (not to mention the pets.) I think it's mostly because of this adorable little girl. Isn't she cute?! She is definitely a little demanding of my time and my energy and my mind and actually she SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ME on some days! ARGH!!
And, when I do sit at my computer, this little cutie often says "let's make funny faces, Mommy!" Funny Faces? What she's talking about is the WEB CAM! I have a web cam on my lap top. Do you have one? What great fun we have!! And we have even more fun recently since I downloaded a free version of WebcamMax. You'll think I'm crazy, but Glynis and I enjoy making videos and uploading them to youtube or facebook. (WebcamMax is easy and so fun!!) Here's the one the makes me laugh the most and has really amused my friends.
But this summer, Carson, the middle child, is visiting family in Arizona. He's been gone for a week already and won't be home for 2 more. I miss him so much! It's very strange when one of us is missing. The house feels different. But the biggest difference in this case is the noticeably reduced ARGUING! For some reason, my oldest (18 yrs) and my youngest (12 yrs) get along very well. This is surprising considering the age difference. Anyway, I'm posting a video that they made a few nights ago. They both love to sing and they did an amazing job with this song called Beauty in the Breakdown by The Scene Aesthetic (whom I had never heard of until now.) Their initial reason for making this video was to submit it to America's Got Talent YouTube competion. I think they should have won, but who am I? Just a Mom!!
Check them out if you have time. You might smile :)
If you've got something equally exciting to Toot about. Make sure you follow the directions on the left side bar to play along.
Here's something to toot about for sure!! My first born graduated from high school! We celebrated with a big party in our back yard. Live music supplied by the graduate and his friends. A bitter sweet moment for Mom. Lucky for me, he'll be staying at home while he attends community college and continues his job at the market up the street.
See the left side bar for rules about Toot Your Horn Tuesday.
I'm just sharing More Pictures!
My hubby and I were lucky enough to find a few hours together last week without kids. It was a daytime date and actually one of our best dates in a long time. We were so much more energetic then when we get a night out. We're too old to be staying up late I guess. Teeheehee!!
We live just 20 minutes from the beach. This area is quite touristy so we just acted like one of them. Rickshaw Rental and all!
