If you're wondering what this is all about,
check out the rules on the left side of the page!
Feeling invisible? Sometimes we feel a little unappreciated. We wonder, "Why am I the only one who volunteers?" How about, "I'm sick of picking up after everyone!"
I'm not going to Toot any horns today. I'm taking a moment to share what it means to be a servant-minded believer and a mother. It really means that we are to give preference to others.
So many times, I need to remind myself of God's true desire for my life. Especially at those moments when I'm feeling unappreciated. Moms often don't get the credit we deserve. We're not handed a paycheck twice a month, we don't get promoted for our hard work. But, God sees what others do not see and HE will reward us for those works.
It says so right here in Matthew 6
1"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

There is always so much inspiration to be found here, no matter what kind! Thanks for being transparent and letting us follow all your thoughts!
What a great message, thanks for the inspiration. So often we lose sight of why we're doing what we are as mothers and get frustrated with the stress of it all.
This week, I'm tooting a horn for YOU! Thanks so much for the opportunity to link up and for all that you do. I'm sure your family and the other people in your life appreciate it! God does as well!
Take care,
Ann Marie
What a great reminder. Thanks for sharing those words.

PS - I didn't mean to post my link twice. Sorry. Can you delete the first one?
What a great reminder. It is very easy as a mom to feel unappreciated. But, it's true that God sees our hard work and He appreciates our service to His children. :)
This is my second week playing along with toot your horn Tuesday! I found so many great ideas last week, I'm looking forward to checking everyone's out again!
Thanks for hosting!

Ah, what a wonderful reminder to be servant-minded. Sometimes in the running around busy-ness of the day, I forget about the big picture. All the little tasks are so unimportant. But, loving on these children and my husband--that is my CALLING.
Oh, and thank you for letting me join the party again! I am loving this "motivation" to get my projects finished by Tuesday...even Tuesday at midnight!! :-)
Thanks so much for hosting!! I love your party!!

Beautiful post Leah. How hard it is to do something good and just keep quiet about it. We should really point out what other people have kindly done and not what we do.
Thanks for the party Leah and have a lovely week!
Finally getting something done to participate in a party! Great post! So fitting right before Mother's Day too!
Thanks so very much for hosting another terrific party!
Thank you for hosting - this is a talented group
Thanks for hosting! It's so inspirational to see what other creative projects everyone is working on.
Thank you for a much needed reminder. :D And also, thank you for hosting each week!
Beautiful message, thank you! I needed it.
I found you through live.laugh.makesomething. I love it!
Thank you so much! i needed that. I'm not a stay at home mom but i too feel unappreciated at times and forget the true meaning of life and how truly blessed i am! Thanks again for the inspiration.
Thanks for the link up!
Thanks for hosting such a great party!
I just discovered your blog -- and I love it! I'll be back for sure. : )
Ps. 126:3
I like your rules. My link is sort of tooting someone else's horn anyway. A former classmate of mine wrote up a tutorial on my blog and I'm trying to get her tutorial out there with the hope that more people will check her site out.
Thanks for hosting! Sadly, it looks like a majority of those leaving their links are disregarding your leave a comment rule.
Needed to hear that! I often find myself thinking "Why am I the only one who does (enter horrible chore no one wants to do)"
Thanks again for this party! It is always such a joy to see what everyone is up to. Thanks.
This is my first time coming to your blog. Lots of great ideas and I love getting to see everyone Tutting their own horns!
Thanks for hosting! :)
I'm a little late to the party but thanks as always!
I made a pillow case and felt cars and pond for the car track I made my kids.
