Whether you're new to this party or not, make sure you review the Toot Your Horn Rules on the left side bar!
Sometimes I just can't believe that I have a child who is about to turn 18. He's a senior! Shouldn't I still be in high school? Wasn't I just sitting in Ms. Pace's 12th grade English class? ARGH!
Look at him! He's so tall and handsome! And this past weekend, I drove up to Northern Virginia to hear him perform with Virginia's All State Chorus, directed by Dr. Z Randall Stroope. Talk about a proud Momma!!
And who's that woman standing with us in the picture, you ask?
It's Kelly! She lives in Northern Virginia and has a beautiful guest room. (Not to mention, the most luxurious bath towels) She's one of my best friends from HIGH SCHOOL! We spent the whole weekend together. (The rest of the family stayed home.) What a great time we had! Mostly just talking talking and more talking. (A lot of laughing and a little singing too, how about those 80s!?) See, there we are...our senior year in high school.
How blessed I feel for friendships that keep me feeling young!

Happy Tuesday ... you don't look old enought to have an 18 year old either! Grown sons are so wonderful!
How do you delete? I pressed enter instead of backspace! Delete #47.

Thanks for hosting. I know what you mean about your "baby" growing up. I feel like tomorrow my baby boy will be going off to school and graduating and moving away to college...he's only 3!
LOVE the old picture! My kids think I came from prehistoric times when they see the hair and the clothes.

Hey, Leah, try the '70's! That's my era. Since Facebook, I've connected with a few of my hs girlfriends. Even tho I haven't seen too many of them, we 'talk' online & it's just like we're 16 again!
So, yes, even at 52, I still feel like that number is talking about my mother, not me!
Congrats on your beautiful son! What a joy!
thanks for hosting!
