NOTE: If you're playing along today, when you sign Mister Linky, please keep your name/blog title/project name...SHORT! Mister Linky is getting overloaded. Also, I had a couple readers complain that my button isn't working, but it seems to be working fine for others. So if you're having a problem, just forget the button and place a little ol' link. And please don't forget that link. Many of you fail to link back to this fun party. What a bummer! :(
So anyway, I've never been a fan of PINK, but when my daughter was born, after having 3 sons, I was happy to embrace this "girlie" color. There's no way to avoid it actually (retailers make sure of that.) It just seems like this week especially, PINK has been everywhere!! For one, Glynis got a book for her birthday called Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann. In one week, we've probably read it about 20 times! (Thank you Aunt Megan!) It's an adorable book and I really enjoy listening to my daughter shout "PINK" over and over. She wants to dress in pink every day. One day, Daddy brought home some pink jello for her and because she still likes to eat much of her food with her fingers, she ended up with pink hands!
So, what does PINK have to do with my "Toot" for the week? It's rather fitting...
My Mom is away visiting family this week so I thought I'd surprise her by painting her office with the can of paint that my Dad had purchased a few months before he passed away. It'd had been in the closet, along with the new flooring that he purchased for the room. This "office" is completely packed with stuff!! (Mom's a former doll collector and has an enormous collection of family photos) I hope she's not going to be mad that I boxed it all up! Finally got that all done and went back over last night along with two of my boys. We grabbed the can from the closet and guess what color it is!!!!..... YEP, PINK!!
But we did it! And I've also contacted her contractor neighbor to come have the floor installed while the room is boxed up. I'm so excited for my Mom's reaction. Along with this surprise, my husband completely cleaned up her yard, pressure washed her deck and will be staining it today. That's a lot of Tooting I think!! (lucky for me, she only reads my blog about once a month so keep this secret for me!)

Just happened upon your blog and I'm excited to keep reading. I only have a little boy, so I haven't been bitten by the "pink bug" yet. But, I'm hoping our next one is a girl... I can't wait to do the pink tutus and hair bows!
I have 5 daughters and every one of them LIVED in pink till they were about 8, then they added a little purple, yellow, ect... Enjoy it, when their teenagers they hate every color you like :)
