Photostory Friday - Grandpa Al

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

My Grandfather passed away last night.
He was weary and it was time to go home.

He's in heaven now,
whistling with my Grandma Peggy.

I'm awfully sorry for your loss. Even when it's "their time" it's never easy.

This is a simple and beautiful tribute to a man whom you obviously loved.

I am so sorry for your loss. Even when they are ready to go it is still hard for those of us who are not quite ready for them to be gone. hugs and prayers for peace.

Those are awesome pictures!!

It's hard when someone we love is no longer on this earth, but we can rejoice in the fact that we will see them again one day!! I'm so thankful I will be with my family in eternity one day! I'm so thankful for the Lord and His gift of salvation, which makes it possible!

My grandpa just passed away recently too--it was hard to let him go but he was so ready to be with his Savior! I love the picture of him and your grandma in the sand!

Death is an interesting time: sad for those left behind and happy for the one who has returned to his heavenly home with his loved ones there.

BTW: My maiden name was Shelton. Was your Grandfather from VA?

I am so sorry to hear this.
They look like a very nice couple you gram ma and grand dad.
As long as you remember and think about him he will always be in your heart and in your dreams.
He sure is lucky to have such a nice grand daughter.
Light a candle for his soul to help find the way.
