A non-writer's writer's block

My brain has been in overtime recently, yet I sit here at my blog and go blank. Throughout my busy days, I come across topics that totally drive my mind to spontaneous explosions of questions and impulses to debate, but then I sit here with my shiny new laptop and don't know where to start. I can't even call this writer's block, because, well, I'm not really "a writer." Just a woman who shares this world with you.

Today, I'll just write down some topic headlines and over the next few weeks I will really zone in on some of them. Your comments will be really helpful here! Give me somewhere to start. You'll see that my list doesn't make for typical "Silly Little Sparrow" posts. No babies, kittens or uneventful ramblings, but don't worry, I won't leave that stuff out, you can be sure!
So in no particular order, here are the things on my mind...

1. The economy - Who doesn't have their opinions? their worries?
2. Stem cell research - I have questions, don't you?
3. Violence around the world - A pastor gunned down, A family wiped out, Another high school shooting
4. Closer to home - How to parent a teenager, How to parent an adolescent, How to parent a toddler
5. When does the wisdom kick in? - I'm turning 40 this summer
6. Saving money and saving the Earth - Recycling, reusing, conserving
7. Christianity - Why are there fewer Christians these days?

We'll start with these 7. If you've already written a post about one of these topics or would like to write along with me, We'll call this the Spontaneous Thought Explosion! Sign the Mister Linky below with a direct link to your relevant post and remember to post a link back to me also. You can use my button on the left side bar. I can't wait to hear what we all have to say!

I wrote a post today about disablilty- How those on disability are "stuck in a rut" -unable to make too much $$$ or they lose their medical benefits. I had a "guest" share her story. Check it out here:

Well I already turned 40 and Im telling ya it wasnt that bad. I could have probably handeled it just fine except my wife wakes me up t find the entire house draped in black with rest in peace tombstones and the like. I could have done without all that. It really depressed me for some reason, I about cried.

Seems the only thing that happened to me when I turned 40 was getting more emotional. LOL

Love and Prayers,

Tim

What a thought exploding post! I, too, think about these things and it is scary to me how my boys have to see the world today. I try and teach them what needs to be taught, but there is always that nagging feeling! Thanks for sharing and for blogging by!

Hi Leah. I finally got the Mr Linky thing right and have entered the appropriate post this time. Guess I finally gained some wisdom (what the post is about as well!) Thanks for your patience in my learning process!!!

I'll have to think on these although stem cell research has been on my mind. There are just so many things changing all at once. This is a great idea. I have been a poor blogger lately, but eventually I plan on getting back into it more often. Life somehow has a way of getting in the way.

I am glad you liked my post on stem cell research.

I really enjoy your blog as I can relate so much to the things you write and experiences in your life.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on these matters on your mind.

Im bad...I need to save more but I just can't help myself...the 4 letter word SALE always gets me...I need a blog-intervention. You would think that spending 20 hours on the computer per day would nip that in the bud...NO!

I reposted with an economy post. I woke up this morning DYING to talk about something and couldn't wait for your next post inviting me to do so.
I will still link both posts in your next one though.
